GRAMMY’S TOLLHOUSE COOKIE BARS are one of the easiest, yummiest treats to make!  Based off the original Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe, these pan cookies are ready to enjoy in half the time!  Simply mix up the classic ingredients, spread in a pan, bake, and be ready to hear the “oohs and ahhhs” of your happy eaters ahead! 🙂 haha

This classic recipe calls for chocolate chips but did you know that Nestle makes chocolate CHUNKS, too??  Ohhhh yeah!  And that’s what I use for this recipe!  You get an extra yummy chocolate in every bite….sign me up!! 🙂 haha

GRAMMY'S TOLLHOUSE COOKIE BARS

Servings 48 bars

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375* and grease a 15x10 inch jelly-roll pan (cookie sheet)
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugars, and vanilla. Mix well until smooth.
  • Add eggs in, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually beat in the flour mixture to the batter until mixed well.
  • Stir in chocolate chips/chunks and nuts (if desired).
  • Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan
  • When cooled, cut into bars and serve. ENJOY!
