Preheat oven to 375* and grease a 15x10 inch jelly-roll pan (cookie sheet)
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugars, and vanilla. Mix well until smooth.
Add eggs in, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in the flour mixture to the batter until mixed well.
Stir in chocolate chips/chunks and nuts (if desired).
Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan
When cooled, cut into bars and serve. ENJOY!
