GRAMMY’S BUTTERY BEER BREAD is a new variation of an old favorite in our house! Have you ever tried beer bread before? It is scrumptious!! It is a hearty, tender bread that pairs perfectly with your favorite soup or stew! Yummy on it’s own and even better scooping up gravy or broth, this bread is the best! This bread has a slightly sweet, buttery flavor and a crispy outside with a tender inside! Mmmm good! And it’s easy-peasy to make! The nice thing about beer bread is that you probably already have the few ingredients needed in your kitchen and you don’t have to mess with yeast. GRAMMY'S BUTTERY BEER BREAD
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 ounces beer
- 1 stick butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350*F and lightly grease/spray your 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, add together your flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Using a mixing spoon, add in your beer and stir just til blended (batter will be slightly lumpy).
- In your loaf pan, pour half of the melted butter in the bottom, followed by your batter. Spread batter evenly in the pan.
- On top of batter, pour the remaining butter.
- Bake beer bread in 350* oven for approx 45-60 minutes, depending on oven, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
- Serve immediately with your favorite soup or stew. ENJOY! 🙂
