GRAMMY’S SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES!  This week is Spring Break for three of our grandkids, so I decided to do a Grammy’s Lunch ‘n Bake with them for a few hours today! :). Fun for Grammy and a break for Mom! haha  So, I made a big pot of my homemade Chicken Noodle Soup https://alittlebitofgrammy.com/grammys-instant-pot-chicken-noodle-soup/ with some warm, crusty bread for their lunch….one of their absolute favorites!  Then, we decided to make another favorite together….GRAMMY’S SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES! :). Ohhh yummm!  Is there anything better on this planet then warm, cinnamony Snickerdoodle Cookies straight out of the oven?  Heaven!  They made these all by themselves, with Grammy’s instructions, and they turned out perfect!  Happy tummies….happy grand kiddos 🙂 haha  Check out the recipe below…..ENJOY!

GRAMMY'S SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES

Servings 5 dozen approx

Ingredients
  

  • 3 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

TOPPING

  • 3 Tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease or use parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Mix together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter for 30 seconds, then add in the sugar and beat til fluffy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla in and beat well. Add dry ingredients into mixture, beating til well combined.
  • Form dough into 1 inch balls, roll in the cinnamon/sugar mixture, and place on the cookie sheet two inches apart. Slightly flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass.
  • Bake in a preheated 375* oven for about 8 minutes or til lightly golden. Cool on a rack....ENJOY!
