GRAMMY’S BISQUICK COFFEECAKE is a perfect option for a cozy Saturday morning with your cup of coffee! Ooooh, do you remember this classic recipe from your childhood or am I showing my age? 🙂 haha. I used to make this on a Sunday morning when our kids were growing up and my family would get so excited! Even as I shared a pic with my grown kids this morning via a “remember this” text, they all shared their memories of this yummy coffee cake. It is not only super easy to make but it fills your house with cozy, nostalgic cinnamony goodness, too! My version is extra yummy, as I always double the streusel topping, which I think makes it even better! Everyone from young to old will love this, I promise! :). GRAMMY'S BISQUIK COFFEECAKE
Equipment
- 8x8 baking pan
Ingredients
- 2 cups Bisquik mix
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp white sugar
FOR TOPPING
- 2/3 cup Bisquik
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 Tbsp cold butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375* and lightly grease an 8x8 baking pan. Set aside
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix dough ingredients (Bisquik, milk, egg, and sugar) until well blended. Spread evenly in 8x8 baking pan.
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix the topping ingredients with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
- Spread topping evenly on top of dough and put pan into oven
- Bake at 375* for 25-30 minutes or toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean.
- Serve warm or cooled....ENJOY!
- NOTE: RECIPE CAN BE DOUBLED AND BAKED IN 9X13 PAN. Adjust baking time as necessary.
