Cut sausage into 1/2 inch slices; also cut potatoes in half and sliced veggies of choice to prepare for cooking. This will ensure that everything cooks evenly and close to the same timing.
Pour the chicken broth into your instant pot and then add the sausage, potatoes, and green beans (or veggie of choice - if using zucchini or squash, do NOT add yet).
Sprinkle the mixture with your cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss with a large spoon until seasonings are blended throughout.
Cut your butter into 4-8 pieces and toss into your pot on top.
Put the lid on and make sure the valve is set to "sealing". Set the Manual or Pressure cook button on for 3 minutes and cooking will begin.
When the 3 minutes cook time is complete, perform a "quick release" by carefully moving the valve to "venting" (be careful of steam/splattering!).
Once the pin has dropped, turn lid to remove. NOTE: if using zucchini or squash, now you will add those to the pot and either turn the instant pot back on for 1 minute or turn setting to "saute" and cook til tender-crisp, stirring regularly. ENJOY!
