GRAMMY'S EGG ROLL BOWL

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube Jimmie Dean breakfast sausage,regular or hot *Can substitute ground beef instead
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 16 oz bag of fresh coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup carrots, peeled and julienned
  • 1 crown broccoli florets, fresh and diced small
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1-2 Tbsp Hoison Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
SERVE OVER:
  • 4 servings brown rice
  • 4 servings white rice
  • 4 servings chow mein

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown sausage/ground beef until cooked through and crumbly.
  2. Add in diced onion and cook for a couple more minutes until onion is tender.
  3. Add in garlic, ginger, Hoison Sauce, Soy Sauce, ColeSlaw Mix, carrots, and broccoli to the meat mixture. Cook over medium heat for approx 5 more minutes or until veggies are tender crisp.
  4. Remove from heat and serve over white or brown rice or chow mien. ENJOY!
