GRAMMY'S BISCUITS 'N GRAVY

Servings: 6

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube breakfast sausage (I use Jimmie Dean regular)
  • 1 tube Pillsbury Grands Buttermilk Biscuits (or homemade, if you prefer)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp Lowry's Seasoning Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and bake biscuits according to directions on biscuits tube or your favorite homemade biscuits recipe .
  2. While biscuits are baking, saute breakfast sausage in a large skillet on stovetop at medium-high heat until sausage is crumbled and browned.
  3. When sausage is no longer pink, sprinkle flour evenly over cooked sausage in skillet until the sausage absorbs the flour.
  4. Then carefully pour your milk, seasoning salt, and pepper into skillet. Mix completely with sausage and stir regularly as the sausage mixture starts to bubble.
  5. Reduce heat and continue to cook and stir sausage gravy until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. When biscuits are cooked, remove from oven.
  7. Now, it's time for the best part! Open a biscuits in half onto your plate and scoop some of that delicious sausage gravy onto each half of your biscuit and dig in! ENJOY!
