GRAMMY’S YUMMY BREAKFAST SANDWICH, for the win!😋👌🏼☀️  Hope your morning is off to a great start!  We usually start our weekends with a cozy, homemade breakfast! And many times, that means this yummy, bacony breakfast sandwich!  It’s one of our all-time favorites and a great start to any day!  It’s not just for the weekends….it is quick, easy, and you can change them up to fit your tastes!  I usually go for bacon but you could also use sausage, deli ham, chorizo, or prosciutto, too!  Nothing to it…a yummy, easy-peasy start to your day!!  Check out my recipe for GRAMMY’S YUMMY BREAKFAST SANDWICH below!  ENJOY!

GRAMMY'S YUMMY BREAKFAST SANDWICH

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg
  • 1 English muffin
  • 1 cheese slice, of choice (American, cheddar, Swiss, havarti, etc)
  • 1 serving breakfast meat (bacon, sausage, chorizo, deli ham, or prosciutto)
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Start by toasting your English muffin, to desired crispness. Some like their's warm but soft, other's desire toasted and crispy on the edges...your choice!
  • While muffin is in toaster, in a medium skillet over medium-high heat, start cooking your breakfast meat if necessary....bacon, sausage, or chorizo need to be cooked through, while deli ham or prosciutto can be room temp or warmed up for a few quick minutes in your pan.
  • After meat is warm/cooked, move it to the side in your skillet and crack your egg into pan. Gently break the yolk with the corner of your spatula and form egg into a circle with your spatula. Sprinkle egg with salt/pepper to taste.
  • Cook egg til set, flipping it once. Put slice of cheese on top of egg and remove skillet from heat, letting cheese melt on top for a quick minute
  • Remove English muffin from toaster and place cheesy egg on top of English muffin half. The top with your breakfast meat, followed by the other half of your English muffin on top! ENJOY! 🙂
  • NOTE: for extra flavor, you can add dijon mustard, or syrracha sauce, or spicy mayo to your English muffin half before adding to the top of your sandwich! 🙂
