GRAMMY’S MISSISSIPPI CHICKEN is an easy, crockpot dinner option that is so scrumptious!! These simple ingredients, all added to your crock pot in the morning, result in a dinner loaded with flavor! GRAMMY'S MISSISSIPPI CHICKEN
Ingredients
- 3-4 chicken breasts, boneless/skinless
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 packet Ranch Dressing Mix, dry
- 1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix, dry
- 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers, sliced/jarred
- 3/4 cup pepperoncini juice from the jar
- 1 stick butter, sliced
Instructions
- Put diced onion and chicken breasts evenly in the bottom of the crock pot
- Sprinkle packets of ranch dressing and au jus mix on top of meat.
- Then add in pepperoncini peppers and pepperoncini juice, and top mixture with the pats of butter spread evenly on top.
- Cover and cook on High for about 5 hours or Low for 7-8 hrs.
- Can serve chicken whole or shred with two forks. Then serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. ENJOY!
- NOTE: For a fun twist, shred chicken, then scoop into a toasted hoagie roll, top with provolone cheese, and place under broiler in oven for a 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted. ENJOY!
