GRAMMY’S CRUSTLESS SAUSAGE QUICHE! Ooooh, this is the way to start a day, don’t you think?! This quiche is crustless, which makes it a lighter dish. Then you add in the sausage, your favorite veggies, and melty cheese and you have a scrumptious breakfast….or dinner….that is sure to please! This recipe can be adjusted to fit your family’s tastes….decrease the sausage, change out the veggies, substitute the type of cheese, etc…..the world is at your finger tips! :)haha. GRAMMY'S CRUSTLESS SAUSAGE QUICHE
Ingredients
- 1 lb (tube) Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage
- 3 cups fresh spinach, chopped (OR veggie of your choice)
- 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, colby jack, or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup green onion, diced
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4-1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- In skillet on stovetop, cook sausage until crumbled and cooked through. Toss with chopped spinach, onions, mushrooms, and 1/2 cup of the cheese. In a 9 inch pie pan (or 8x8 pan), put the sausage mixture into the bottom evenly.
- In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, sour cream, milk, and seasonings. Whisk together until smooth and creamy. Pour this over the sausage mixture in your pan and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400* for 25-35 minutes or until middle is set and browned (oven times vary). ENJOY!
