Preheat oven to 350* and prepare 13x9 baking pan by spraying with PAM cooking spray
Spread the apple pie filling evenly in bottom of prepared pan with a spoon. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apples.
Sprinkle the cake mix on top of fruit, using a fork to break up any clumps and spread evenly over fruit
Top the mixture with the pats of butter, making sure to cover the entire surface evenly to prevent dry areas at the end. NOTE: you can opt to melt butter instead and drizzle over the top evenly.
Place dump cake into preheated oven and bake for 45-60 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and cake is lightly browned.
Serve warm, with scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top. ENJOY!
