NO-FROST CHOCOLATE OATMEAL CAKE

A yummy, chocolatey oatmeal cake filled with chocolate chips
Servings 12

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375* and grease/flour a 13x9 baking pan
  • In a large bowl, pour boiling water over the quick oats and let stand for about 10 minutes
  • Add the sugars and the butter into the oatmeal and beat well.
  • Add in two eggs and beat well.
  • Add in flour, baking soda, and cocoa; mix well
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake at 375* for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. ENJOY!
